The Nobel Prize-winning author, William Golding, deftly disguises the story of two young boys who become abandoned on a lonely island to offer a sharp commentary on the darker side of human nature. Further upsetting the story is the readers' constant realization that the tale revolves around the descent of impressionable young guys into violence.
